I learned to sew on my mother’s antique table top Singer and made a few pieces of clothing growing up, made my first quilt, for my son, in 1980 and the rest, as they say, is history.

I enjoy doing several different crafts and fiber arts, quilting, knitting, crochet, and cross stitch are the top four. Over time as my quilting style evolved, my favorite type of quilt is a medallion style, I like Jewel tones but find myself working more with scrap style quilts now. I purchased a long arm quilt machine in 2011, did free motion quilting until 2022 when I added a computer quilting system, now I do a combination of both. I hope to finish the many unquilted tops that are piling up in my sewing area.

I joined a quilt guild in the mid 1990’s and did not stick with it as I felt like I did not fit in, life got busy and upon retiring in 2022 joined TRPQG and everyone was welcoming and friendly from the first meeting I attended. I’m looking forward to the coming years as a member.
