Carol is part of the leadership team.

I have grown to love almost all the fiber arts but quilting is my favorite. Somehow, while working on the farm and raising 5 girls, my mother found the time to teach us to sew, knit, crochet and embroider. I’m always happiest when I’m playing with fabric and yarn! It’s hard to say why it is such a joy to cut up fabric and sew it back together, but I never tire of the process. I had a longarm quilting business called Running Stitches from 2010 to 2023. It not only provided a second income to cover college tuition and family trips, but also allowed me to meet many talented quilters who have become lifelong friends. I often got a hug (sometimes tears!) with the check. I have been a member of the TRPQG since at least 2009 – I’m not sure of the year. I admire our many talented quilters and have made many friends there. I always leave our meetings inspired and ready to sew!! It has been a privilege to serve on the TRPQG leadership team.
