Jennie Wright, Queen Bee

The Tar River Piecemakers Quilt Guild (TRPQG) Patriotic Bee is eagerly preparing for our August meeting, where our focus will be on crafting patriotic placemats for veterans. These placemats are more than just practical items; they are heartfelt tokens of gratitude and respect for those who have served our country. In our guild, where creating Quilts of Valor and other patriotic items is a cherished tradition, we deeply understand the significance of every stitch and fabric choice. Each placemat is a small yet meaningful reminder of our appreciation for the sacrifices made by our veterans.

As we gather for this special meeting, we look forward to coming together as a community of quilters, united by a common goal. The meeting is not only a time to share our skills and stories but also an opportunity to reflect on the importance of honoring those who have served. The Patriotic Bee is a space where creativity meets purpose, and we are excited to contribute to a cause that resonates so deeply with our members.

Meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday at 10:00 am in the Braswell Memorial Library, 727 N. Grace St, Rocky Mount, NC. All are welcome.whether you’re a seasoned quilter or just starting.
