Challenge Description:
Get ready to showcase your skills and creativity in our Applique Quilt Challenge! Any type or technique of applique is permitted—whether it’s raw edge, needle-turn, machine applique, or something else entirely. The possibilities
are endless, and the design choices are all up to you.
Key Details:
- Size Requirement: Your quilt must measure at least 36 inches square.
- Techniques: Any applique technique is allowed—raw edge, needle-turn, machine applique, fused, or a combination. Feel free to experiment and push the boundaries of traditional applique.
- Theme: The theme is open-ended. The only rule is that it must be applique-based. You could create anything from nature-inspired designs, abstract art, geometric patterns, or even something personal and meaningful to you. The sky’s the limit!
- Due Date: Finished quilts must be submitted by the June guild meeting.
Other Information:
- No specific color palette is required—use whatever colors inspire you!
- Quilts will be displayed and admired by guild members, and there may be a fun community vote for the most creative or innovative applique work.
- This is a great opportunity to try something new or perfect a technique you’ve been wanting to explore.
